What it is. Mayor Arcade is an iPhone game where you’re the mayor and the city keeps calling. Each round is a new crisis, such as a citywide blackout, unpaid salaries or streets overrun with animals, and you have 30 seconds to decide what happens next.
No preset answers. There’s no menu of options. You type whatever you think the city should do, then live with the consequences. Every order can change the crisis, drain or grow the treasury, upset the public, or win over residents, workers, businesses, investors and the press. Clever ideas might save the day, expensive ones might bankrupt the city, and ridiculous ones might work better than they have any right to.
Scoring. Solving crises quickly builds your score, plans nobody saw coming earn Style Points, and the aim is to survive as long as you can. At the end of a term you get a summary of every order you signed, a shareable front page, and a leaderboard of the top mayors.
